Lola, 2019. Lola, made together with local carpenters in Buenos Aires, is inspired by the city's philosophy of “taking something old and sticking something new to it”. Lola refers to Buenos Aires’ European romantic nostalgia but without the “fluff” normally associated with Romanticism, creating a simple and naive, at the same time familiar, narrative. The thickness of the legs, of the edge of the seat and of the backrest, is balanced by a woven grid, creating a light, airy and elegant look. From April 2019, Lola has, among other, been shown at Stockholm Design Week and been featured in a 2-page spread in Elle Decoration South America where she is referred to as a “modern classic”.
